Nyob Zoo All!
Here’s to another super easy and tasty stir fry dish you can make any time of the year: Chicken with snow peas stir fry. This stir fry is one of my go to’s I enjoy making when I’m feeling a little lazy. It doesn’t take that many ingredients either. The chicken wings are crispy/savory while the snow peas are crisp, sweet, and oh so good! It’s great over fresh steamed rice. So give it a try. Happy cooking. 🙂
Main Ingredients
Snow Peas: Snow peas are flat compared to sugar snap peas. You can use sugar snap peas for this recipe as well but snow peas are a classic in my family. Snow peas are flat but they do have a great crunch to it. They are sweet as well but not as sweet as sugar snap peas. But for a stir fry, they’re perfect! Make sure to trim/peel of the ends and tips. Peeling the ends/tips off will also peel off the sides which you want since they’re a little too tough to eat. Protein: I like to use chicken drumettes/wingettes or the whole wing cut to pieces. You can also do this with any part of the chicken but i like the wings because of the texture and flavor. Seasonings: Salt, oyster sauce, garlic powder, chicken bouillon powder, chili flakes, fresh minced garlic. Cook the wings until you get some golden crispness to it. Add the snow peas, seasonings, cook and enjoy! It’s amazing over fresh steamed rice! 🙂
Enjoy!

Chicken & Snow Peas Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken drumettes/wingettes
- 1 tsp salt (to season the chicken)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (to season the chicken)
- 1 Tbsp garlic (minced)
- 1 1/2 lbs snow peas (trimmed & rinsed well)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1 tsp chili flakes (more or less depends on you)
Instructions
- In a good nonstick pan, add in the drumettes/wingettes, salt, and garlic powder. Give it a good stir and then place a lid on top. Cook on medium heat and allow the wings to steam and cook all the way through. Keep it covered for 5 minutes while stirring in between until the chicken is fully cooked. Uncover and let it crisp up and cook for another 5 more minutes or so until the chicken gets nice and golden crispy. Once cooked, add in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute or so. Then add in snow peas, oyster sauce, chicken bouillon powder, and chili flakes. Cook on HIGH heat for about 3 minutes or so. Make sure to not overcook the snow peas. You still want it crisp. Turn off the heat and taste for seasoning. Adjust if needed. Enjoy while hot over fresh steamed rice.
