Hmong Village in Thailand

Hmong Village in Nan, Thailand

We were fortunate enough to experience and see what the Hmong people were living like in Thailand. It was eye opening to see how they live a day to day life and how much culture there still is in this small village of Nan. Though some experiences were sad, I was grateful to see that our traditional Hmong Culture still exist and some of it hasn’t been forgotten.

One of the oldest Hmong Grandma I was able to see. I remember walking into her house and she was sewing paj ntaub. Hand stitch paj ntaub is in the most part, slowly getting lost in this generation. But to see her and many other elders in Thailand still sewing and doing it not just as a hobby but also for survival is truly inspiring.
