MEETING GENNARO CONTALDO

Hey everyone! During my study abroad month, I was pleasantly surprise to bump into and meet Gennaro Contaldo! He is a chef in the UK well known for making Italian dishes! He is also Jamie Oliver’s Italian cooking mentor for over 10 years now! I watch him on YouTube and work along side Jamie Oliver for awhile now and I was grateful enough to have eaten at Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant and meet Gennaro there! Fangirling here! GIDDY! SAY WHAT? HOW?

I was walking around Canary Wharf and saw Jamie Oliver’s restuarant there. So I decided to walk inside to see what they have and right when I turned the corner Gennaro was just sitting there! I was like (in my head) “OMG I JUST WATCHED YOU LASTEST VIDEO YESTERDAY” and he’s here right in front of me! SAY WHAT?  Anyways I had a good conversation with him and ended up taking a picture with him! He’s an amazing and hilarious guy! Love love his vibe!

Ok so onto the food. I got mostly all the salad they offered! It tasted super fresh. Simple but yet satisfying.
