🧈 BUTTER SUGAR TOAST 🍞 Ah yes, this butter 🧈 BUTTER SUGAR TOAST 🍞

Ah yes, this butter sugar toast has been a classic one growing up. Toasting inexpensive white bread, spreading on butter and sprinkling sugar on top hits different. During my earlier childhood days, we would actually use Imperial vegetable oil spread instead of butter because it was cheaper…and also because we thought it was also butter 😅 Once we were introduced to actual butter, it became a game changer. I haven’t had this in a while so it was quite delicious & so nostalgic.

Did you have this growing up?

🍚 RICE & BACON 🥓 This combo is a classic. 🍚 RICE & BACON 🥓

This combo is a classic. It was something my siblings and I would only get to eat every once in a while for breakfast before heading out to school. Bacon wasn’t cheap (and still not cheap) but when it was on sale, my mom would buy a few packs, fry it up super crispy and tell us to eat it with rice. It was never enough because my brothers would basically take all the bacon haha 😅 oh the memories.

Is this a classic combo for you too? What dishes did you have for breakfast growing up?

Making this video so I can have it in my archive/memory 🥹

SIMPLY DELICIOUS Oh the memories of waking up in SIMPLY DELICIOUS

Oh the memories of waking up in the morning to this mouthwatering noodle dish my mom often made for us growing up. So simple, spicy & soooo good.

Yes you can make this with less peppers but the spice is the nostalgia 😄 So spicy yet we still continue on!

How do you like to make the sauce & what other ingredients besides vegetables do you like to add to this noodle dish?

Nyob Zoo All! Here’s to an updated written reci Nyob Zoo All!

Here’s to an updated written recipe and video of how to make fresh rice vermicelli. Rice vermicelli is an amazing noodle to use in a lot of Southeast Asian dishes. It’s gluten free and texturally so fun to eat. They usually come dried with different thickness. It’s cooked in boiling water, cooled in cold water, and then ready to serve. Dried rice vermicelli noodles are commonly made with rice and water. Since we’re making these noodles fresh, I like to add tapioca starch to help give it that chew. Because these noodles are fresh, they are a lot more tender compared to the dried version ones. So it’s best to eat them the day they’re made since they will get soft as they sit. The noodles are also best for cold dishes like spring rolls or a salad in general. It will work as a noodles soup with hot broth poured over, but the noodles will have a more slightly softer texture. It’s quite fun and satisfying to make so I hope you can give this a go. Happy cooking!

If you have questions regarding where I got the noodle press, what is xanthan gum, and how to store the noodles, all the answers are on my website. Go give it a read. 😎
