Nyob Zoo! Hello!

Nyob Zoo! Hello!

It's Cindy Her!

Nyob Zoo! My Name is Cindy Her. I’m a full time Pastry Chef in the Pacific Northwest and creator, recipe developer, and video producer for C.HerCreations (C.HawjCreations), a digital platform dedicated to Hmong food and storytelling. I specifically focus on Hmong food I grew up eating but I also venture into other South East Asian food as well. As a second generation Hmong American woman, my goal is to teach you what Hmong people love to eat, what we cook, how we cook it, how it has evolved, and how we enjoy it. So welcome to my food blog! I want you to learn a little bit more about the Hmong food culture and I hope you all stay tuned on this culinary adventure with me.

🧨 FIRECRACKER SHRIMP 🍤 Save money and make these 🧨 FIRECRACKER SHRIMP 🍤

Save money and make these yourself at home! They’re really easy to make and take minimal ingredients. Perfect for any parties you may have coming soon. I love serving these with a Sriracha tartar sauce for some extra spice and texture. But you can definitely eat these with sweet chili sauce too. Happy cooking!

Full written recipe is available on my website along with full video on my YouTube channel. Link in my bio to go give it a try!

SIMPLE WINS This soup is one I grew up eating an SIMPLE WINS

This soup is one I grew up eating and still hits till this day. Using pork bones gives the soup a richer pork flavor and the addition of cabbage helps balance out richness of the pork. My mom often made this soup for us using pork neck bones and spare ribs for the flavor. This soup is great paired with fresh steamed rice and a side of your favorite pepper dip. I hope you can give this one try!

BITTER BEEF SOUP The soup for them old souls 😎 BITTER BEEF SOUP

The soup for them old souls 😎

This soup features an assortment of different cuts of beef and gets its distinctive bitterness from beef bile. It’s rich in aromatics and super flavorful especially when made with high-quality beef. Although it’s commonly enjoyed during special occasions, you can absolutely make it at home any time of the year.

The full video is live on my channel along with the written recipe on my website. Link in my bio to try it out!

One of my favorite comfort soups to have. This is how I grew up eating it and so I wanted to share it with you! It’s textually fun with all the different styles of beef added in, a little tang from the sour bamboo, and quite aromatic. Great served hot with fresh steamed rice 🙌
