Taro-Coconut & Tapioca Dessert
Oh so sweet! This taro coconut and tapioca dessert is my go-to dessert when I’m craving tapioca with coconut. For me, it’s a warmer version of Naam Vaab but made easier! I love the warmth of this dessert and the simplicity of all the ingredients together. This dessert can be made and served in family gatherings or events. Make a big batch and serve it during a cold day. It’s so soothing and it warms up my heart. So give it a try and see if you like it too!
Taro is so versatile!

Leave some chunks of taro in! It gives this dessert great texture along with the tapioca pearls! Enjoy!

Notes
-When you add in the tapioca pearls into the coconut base, it may seem a little watery. Letting it sit for 15 minutes before serving it allows the dessert to become more thick due to the production of starch coming out of the tapioca. So give it time! - It is best served WARM! š

I tried making this and wonder if rinsing the tapioca was a mistake. It’s still so watery even after draining the tapioca and letting it sit. I tried reheating it again and letting it sit again so I’m not sure how this would be eaten hot when it’s so runny and milky.
My tapioca came out hard still. When I read the package it says to let it boil for 15-20 mins and then leave it over night and boil again for 20mins.
Did you use the small tapioca pearls or the big ones?
At least half of the tapioca balls (small-sized) were not translucent after boiling for 5 min and sitting for 15 min.
