Hello Foodies!
Here’s to another one of my favorite childhood favorites! Stir fry cabbage with bacon! YES! One of the best combos to date and one of the most simplest but tastiest dish to make. I remember eating this stir fry ever since I was a young girl. For some reason, we would always have a head of cabbage in the fridge sitting there for weeks. So my mom would take it and saute it with bacon and then add oyster sauce and green onions. She would then pour it over a bowl of rice and then we would devour it. And my oh my it was so good I could eat at least 2 good bowls of it! What makes this dish so addicting besides the bacon is the addition of oyster sauce. It compliments the bacon and cabbage so well. OHHHH the memories. It’s so delicious, I still eat it till this day. I’m sure you’ve eaten saute bacon with some type of greens before but go ahead and try this recipe out and see if it’s any different from what you’ve eaten before. Happy Cooking!
Main Ingredients

SOOOO GOOD!
YUM!
ENJOY!
Ingredients
- 1 whole small cabbage (chopped)
- 1 pack bacon (12 oz chopped)
- 3 green onions (chopped)
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce (add more or less depending on size of cabbage)
- 2-3 chopped chili peppers (optional)
Instructions
In a pan, add in the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy. Drain any excess fat. Then add in the chopped cabbage and saute until it slightly wilted but still crunchy (add 1 tbsp of bacon fat to the stir fry if it seems too dry). Then add in the oyster sauce and chopped chili peppers. Saute until it is thoroughly mix and the cabbage has a good bite to it. The cabbage should not be mushy. It should still be slightly crunchy but also cooked. Then add green onions and turn off the heat. Mix well. Taste and adjust seasonings. Then serve over hot rice and enjoy!

One of my all time favorite meals growing up and still a fave as an adult. I throw in some fish sauce as the salt factor instead of oyster sauce. Either way is delish.
Hi! What pan are you using? Curious if I should get one as well.
Not sure but they have it at a lot of Korean market.
Looks great! Should I cook the bacon on medium or high heat? I’m guessing medium to reduce grease splatter
