Colored milk you say? YES! These are colored milk drinks I grew up drinking when I was a kid and I wanted to share it with you all. Some of you may know these drinks when you visit Thailand, or when you go to Hmong New Years. These are popular drinks in Thailand: The pink milk, green milk, Thai iced coffee, and Thai iced tea. I grew up drinking them out of plastic bags with a straw in and a rubber band to hold up the bag. Oh the memories! You may find these drinks in plastic ups in Thailand. Vendors do it differently, but they are super refreshing during very hot days. Summer is approaching and the sun is setting upon us, so it’s the perfect time to be making these drinks! Hope you all enjoy 🙂
Where to get the syrups? Check your local Asian grocery store or on Amazon.

- 1/4 cups Thai tea leaf (more or less depending on strength)
- 1 cup hot boiling water
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp condense milk
- 2 cups ice
- 1-2 Tbsp evaporated milk
Instructions
Pink and Green Milk
In a cup, add in the syrup, condense milk, and hot boiling water. Stir to break apart the condense milk. Then add in the evaporated milk. Stir and pour over ice. You can be generous with the ice since this milk is quite sweet (and vise versa with the syrup).
Instant Thai Ice Coffee
In a cup, add in 3/4 cups of the instant coffee mix and 1/2 cups of half and half. Stir and then pour over ice. Again, be generous with the ice since if the sweetness or coffee flavor is strong.
Thai Ice Tea
In a glass cup, lay a tea filter/mesh over it. Add in the Thai tea leaves and 1 cup of boiling water. Let it steep for 3-5 minutes depending on how strong you want your tea. Remove the tea filter and squeeze as much of the tea water as you can. Discard the tea leaves. Then add in the condense milk and sugar to the tea. Mix well and taste to adjust sweetness. Pour over a generous amount of ice and top with evaporated milk & enjoy!
Notes
You have the freedom to add as much syrup/ sugar as you want. Adjust to your taste!
