This meal is not only for us, but for our ancestors and loved ones that have passed away. We welcome our ancestors to join us in this meal to give thanks and honor them for protecting us and to continue watching over us for the new year to come. This year’s theme is Hmong New Year at home; food I love and enjoy when I attend a Hmong New Year event. There was so much food already so I couldn’t add fried bananas and herb fish to the menu. So next time. My favorite station was the snack station. I’m all about that $1 nacho and churros😉 and the candy bucket! So much fun!
